What: From August 1, 2010 until August 31, 2010, Theatre Puget Sound (TPS) will open nominations for the 2010 Gregory Awards for Theatrical Excellence. Nominations will recognize outstanding local artists, productions and companies from the 2009/2010 season. Nominees will be chosen by a select panel of nominators, the TPS membership (Member’s Voice) and the general public (People’s Choice). The nominees will appear on a ballot to be voted on by the members of TPS in September 2010. Recipients will be announced at the Gregory Awards ceremony at ACT on October 25.
Why: The Gregory Awards are an opportunity to celebrate theatre in our region, honor the outstanding achievements of local artists, and to raise the visibility of the local theatre scene as a whole. Opening up nominations to the TPS membership and the general public ensures that the final list of nominees on the ballot is truly reflective of the outstanding work taking place throughout the region.
When: All nomination ballot links will be sent on August 1, 2010. Nominations must be received byAugust 31, 2010 in order to be included in the final ballot count.
