Can you spell P-R-E-M-I-E-R-E? Tony-winning SPELLING BEE gets first Seattle production

Seattle, WAContemporary Classics and RK Productions will present the Seattle premiere of THE 25th ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE July 14-August 14 at the Ballard Underground, 2220 NW Market St in Downtown Ballard.

THE 25th ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE is a hilarious tale of overachievers' angst chronicling the experience of six adolescent outsiders vying for the spelling championship of a lifetime. Featuring a score by William Finn (who wrote Contemporary Classics’ 2007 show A New Brain), the Tony Award winning creative team has created the unlikeliest of hit musicals about the unlikeliest of heroes: a quirky yet charming cast of outsiders for whom a spelling bee is the one place where they can stand out and fit in at the same time.
