LEARN ONE OF ACTING’S MOST IMPORTANT ELEMENTS—THE AUDITION—DURING BRAND-NEW CAMP WITH TAPROOT THEATRE’S ACTING STUDIO

One of many camps and performance opportunities this summer

SEATTLE – July 12, 2010 – Learn how to audition like a pro in Audition!, a brand-new summer camp from Taproot Theatre’s Acting Studio. Taking place August 23-27, this camp will prepare aspiring actors from 5th through 12th grade for one of the toughest parts of acting: the audition. Taproot’s team will lead them through the process of auditioning from start to finish. Students will leave the class with a professional resume, headshot and memorized monologue. During the week, students will get the chance to interact with some of the best and brightest artists and Taproot professionals who know what it takes to excel in this industry.

Audition! runs Monday through Friday, August 23 through 27, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Timberlake Church-Ballard. Registration is currently open to students in grades 5 through 12, and costs $285. Audition! is one of dozens of camps offered through Taproot’s Acting Studio this summer. Classes are held at Taproot Theatre (204 N 85th St.) and Timberlake Church-Ballard (1460 NW 73rdSt.) in Seattle.
